Woman Succumbs To Injuries Suffered In Accident Last Week

Last Saturday night, at approximately 9:30 p.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the intersection of Centerville Road and Greenbank Road for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.

When the officers arrived, they learned that a silver Chevy Malibu was traveling northbound on Centerville Road. As the vehicle cleared the intersection of Centerville and Greenbank it struck 37-year-old Ashley Reynolds who was crossing Centerville Road.

Reynolds was transported to a local area hospital and was admitted for head trauma. On Friday police learned that Reynolds succumbed to the injuries, police said Saturday.

The 59-year-old driver of the Chevy Malibu remained at the scene and required no medical attention.
