Pedestrian Struck On Old Baltimore Pike In Newark

At approximately 8:32 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics and Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Old Baltimore Pike and Lucerne Driver for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a single patient lying in the roadway. An approximately 25-year-old female was treated for a head injury and possible internal injuries. She was transported to Christiana Hospital via Christiana Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in critical condition.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
