Just before 2:00, Wednesday afternoon police closed I-95 NB at Aiport Road after a police pursuit ended between the Hope Center and Basin Road.
Video provided to FSU shows police attempting to stop an individual in a white vehicle on I-95 near Airport Road. Shortly after police stopped the vehicle police swarmed the scene where an armed stand-off occurred.
Sources tell FSU that the person in the vehicle shot themself and was transported to CER in critical condition.
I-95 ND was closed at Airport Road doe safety reasons while the scene was active. The roadway has since reopened.
