Woman Ejected From Vehicle Monday Before Fire Erupts

A young woman is hospitalized after being ejected from a vehicle on Monday, according to New Castle County Paramedics S/Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said at approximately 5:15 p.m. the New Castle County Paramedics were requested to respond to the 100 block of
Wilton Boulevard for reports of a crash with injuries.

While units were responding to the crash, additional information indicated that one vehicle was on fire and a subject was reported ejected.

Fire department personnel arrived on scene to find a multi-vehicle collision, with one unoccupied vehicle on fire
and a female patient who had been ejected from her vehicle.

The 21-year-old female operator of a vehicle was ejected from the automobile she was driving and sustained injuries to her extremities. She was treated on scene by the Paramedics and was subsequently transported to the Christiana Hospital in serious condition said Haas. A second patient was transported from the collision by ambulance in stable
condition.

The Delaware State Police is investigating the incident.
