Pedestrian Killed In Wilton Tuesday Night

The New Castle County Division of Police is actively investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Wilton Boulevard, in the area of Edinburgh Drive, late on Tuesday evening.

Officials said the incident, which took place on Tuesday, between 9:30 pm and 10:00 pm, involved a pedestrian being killed.

Authorities did not provide any details surrounding the vehicle or say if anyone else was injured as part of the crash.

The investigation, carried out by the Division’s Traffic Services Unit, continued on through the night and into the early hours of Wednesday. Police officers remained on the scene, working to collect evidence and information pertaining to the incident.

Just before 10:00 Wednesday morning police concluded their on-site activities and opened the road

During the course of the investigation, investigators closed the affected stretch of Wilton Boulevard. The road closure impacted the Wednesday morning commute in the surrounding area.
