Pedestrian Injured in Vehicle Incident in Newark

A 54-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle this morning in Newark. Officials said the incident occurred at the intersection of N. Kingston Road and E. Chestnut Hill Road at around 8:15 a.m.

According to reports from New Castle County Paramedics, who were among the first responders at the scene, the victim sustained a possible head injury. He received immediate medical treatment on-site before being transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. He is currently listed in serious but stable condition.

The Delaware State Police have investigating the incident.
