Rollover Crash Traps One Sunday Morning

Emergency responders were dispatched Sunday morning to a crash involving a rollover and entrapment on Dupont Boulevard (Route 113) at the Stockley Tavern in Georgetown.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:02 a.m. in the 26000 block of Dupont Boulevard. Initial reports indicated that a vehicle had overturned in the parking lot, trapping one occupant inside. Millsboro Fire Company units were dispatched to the scene along with Sussex County Paramedics and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2.

Rescue crews initiated extrication operations upon arrival. By 9:20 a.m., the trapped individual was extricated from the vehicle. Although Trooper 2 landed behind the tavern they were not utilized. Reports from the scene indicated that the female driver was transported with what are believed to be no-life-threatening.

Due to the crash and emergency response activities, Route 113 in the area of the crash was subject to lane restrictions.
