57th Wilmington Shooting Leaves Man In Critical

Wilmington – Last night, Tuesday April 11, 2017 at approximately 8:16 p.m., Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the area of 7th and West Streets in reference to a shooting investigation, according to Wilmington Police.

Arriving officer’s located a adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso. The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room in Critical Condition.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and ongoing at this hour. Anyone that has information relative to this investigation is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Division at 302-576-3620.

Wilmington – Rescue crews are currently (8:35 p.m.) on scene at 7th and West tending to Wilmington’s 57th shooting victim this year. CPR is currently being performed on the victim according to reports from the scene. The victim is now being transported to the hospital.
