Man Arrested For Daycare Break In And Robbing A Cab Driver

Dover Dover Police have charged Donald Caldwell with the robbery of a City Cab driver on Tuesday morning.  Caldwell turned himself in to the Dover Police Department on Wednesday afternoon after he was determined to be the suspect in the burglary of a local daycare, police said.

Police said Caldwell was developed as a suspect in the taxi cab robbery as well, and that he confessed to the incident to detectives.  Caldwell was committed to JTVCC in default of $50,000 cash bond on the following offenses from both cases:
-Robbery 1st Degree
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Burglary 3rd Degree
-Criminal Mischief

Donald CaldwellDover – Dover Police said that they are seeking Donald Caldwell, 30, for breaking into Cindy’s Daycare.  The business, located at 827 Forest Street, was broken into by Caldwell between 6:30 p.m.and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening after employees left the facility, according to police.  Authorities said that video surveillance shows Caldwell entering the business, breaking into an office, and causing damage/ransacking it once inside.  Caldwell is currently wanted by the Dover Police Department for Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief.
