Woman Who Fell At Lums Pond Identified, Cause Of Death Released

 

BearDelaware State Police have identified the woman, who died in Lums Pond State Park, as Tina Werner, 59, of Felton, DE. Police said Werner was standing on a platform located approximately 35′ above the ground, waiting to descend on a zip line. It was at this point that she lost her footing and fell from the platform.

First aid and advanced life-saving efforts were then rendered to Tina Werner by Go Ape employees as well as Park Rangers. She was then treated at the scene by New Castle County Paramedics before being transported to the Christiana Hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy conducted by the Division of Forensic Sciences has ruled that the death of Tina Werner was caused by multiple blunt force trauma by way of an accident.
