School Bus Crash Sends Three To Hospital In Newark


Newark – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a personal injury crash involving a school bus which occurred this morning in Newark, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey Hale.

Hale said the initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred at approximately 8:13 a.m. at the intersection of Harmony Road and Ruthar Drive and involves a passenger car and a school bus carrying approximately 30 students from the Las Americas Aspira Academy in Newark.

Preliminary information is that the operator of the motor vehicle as well as two children on the bus were injured and transported to local hospitals. Their injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.

The investigation into this crash is in its early stages.
