Man Shot Early This Morning In Wilmington

Wilmington – On June 02, 2017 at approximately 4:14 a.m., Wilmington Police Officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of Carter Street in reference to a shooting investigation.

Arriving officer’s located a 40-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his torso. The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the incident occurred in the area of 24th and Lamottte Street, however no ShotSpotter notification and no additional calls in reference to a shooting were received.
