Man In Critical After Being Shot In The Face, Torso

Wilmington – On July 14, 2017 at approximately 11:26 pm, Uniform Services Division officer’s responded to the 1200 block of W. 3rd Street in reference to a ShotSpotter notification of gunfire in the area, according to police.

Police said that arriving officers located a 22-year-old male victim down in the block suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his facial and torso areas. Officers rendered medical aid to the victim prior to the arrival of New Castle County Paramedics, who treated the victim on scene and transported the victim to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room in critical condition.
