High Fall At Construction Site This Morning, Trooper 4 Transports Man To Trauma

Hockessin – Just after 8:00 this morning rescue crews from the Hockessin Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the 600 block of Center Mill Road for reports of a person fallen.

Arriving crews found a 64-year-old man who had reportedly fallen from the roof of a home that is under construction. Reports from the scene indicate that the man fell from the roof and may have landed on construction materials.

Medics treated the man at the scene before transporting him to a nearby landing zone, where Trooper 4 was waiting. As the patent was being loaded in the helicopter medics alerted Christiana Hospital’s Trauma Center to the patients injuries.

The flight from the scene took just minutes and the patient is now being treated.

New Castle County Police remain on scene as they investigate.
