Man Found Dead Inside Burning Home, Investigation Underway

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating yesterday’s house trailer fire in Millville, Delaware. One person was found deceased inside the burning house trailer, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said the blaze, reported shortly after 1:00 pm, occurred in the 36000 block of Club House Road near State Route 26. The Millville Fire Company arrived on the scene with flames engulfing the trailer.

State fire investigators are searching for the origin and cause of this fire. The victim has been transferred to the custody of the Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy today.

Heavy fire damage was estimated at $10,000. There were no other reported injuries. This fire remains under investigation.
