One Dead, One In Critical After Double Shooting, Police Searching For Two Suspects

On Sunday, 19 November 2017, at approximately 1924 hours, Wilmington Police were summonded to W. 3rd and N. Franklin Streets in reference to a SHOT SPOTTER NOTIFICATION for gunfire, according to police.

Officials sad upon the officers arrival, they located a 25-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck area. The victim was unconscious and unresponsive. Officers conducted CPR on the male victim, but while being transported to the Christiana Hospital, via ambulance, the male victim succumbed to his injuries.

While investigating the incident, officers were advised that a second gunshot victim had arrived at the St. Francis Hospital. When officers arrived, they made contact with the 24-year-old man, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds to his legs and rear torso. He was transported to St. Francis Hospital via private vehicle where he was treated by medical personnel and is currently in critical condition.

Police are currently canvasing the area for witnesses and surveillance video according to authorities.. Officials are looking for two male subjects who were wearing dark clothing.
