Claymont – Firefighters from the Claymont and Brandywine Hundred Fire Companies have responded to I-495 NB at the northern I-95 split for an injury accident.
Upon arrival, crews found that a pickup truck had slammed into a guardrail, taking out a light pole, and bursting into flames.
Crews have extinguished that fire, but not before the truck was completely gutted.
Three patients have been transported to Wilmington Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
