Happening Now: High-Speed Crash In New Castle, Troopers Looking For Driver

New Castle – Delaware State Police along with New Castle County Police are searching for a driver that fled an accident scene in the area of the Route 40 / 13 split.

Early reports from the scene indicate that a Trooper noticed a vehicle fly past him at a high rate of speed. Shortly after that County Police reported that the vehicle had crashed and that the driver had fled on foot.

Police are currently searching the area. The subject keeps popping up and jumping fences in a residential area.

Trooper 4 is now overhead.

Update: Additional reports indicate that the vehicle struck two vehicles before crashing into the retention pond at the Wal Mart.
