Troopers Investigating July 4th Shoot In Magnolia

Magnolia, Delaware – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning, according to Director of Public Information, Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Bratz said the preliminary investigation has determined that on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at approximately 3:18 a.m., Troop 3, Camden was contacted by the Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for a shooting incident. Troopers responded to the hospital and contacted a 34-year-old  Magnolia man who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to a lower extremity.

It was learned the victim was transported to the hospital by a privately owned vehicle. It was also reported to have occurred in the unit block of Woodville Drive, Magnolia. There is no suspect information at this time.
