Just before 8:00, Saturday morning rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to Route 1 NB just north of Route 40 for an injury crash.
Upon their arrival crews requested New Castle County Medics as the patient was reportedly unconscious.
The patient is currently en route to the Trauma Center in very serious condition.
Early indications are that the patient was not properly restrained when the crash occurred.
Expect delays in the area.
