Just after 9:30, Wednesday evening rescue crews from the Claymont Fire Company responded to Balfour Avenue in the community of Knollwood for a shooting.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that at least two people were shot in a vehicle. Reports on social media that a total of four people were shot have not been confirmed by police.
Police have not released details surrounding the incident. Additionally, they have not said if they believe there is a threat to the community. This incident comes just hours after police responded to an incident in the Darley Green area of Claymont.
In that incident, residents reported a large police response with the helicopter flying over the area between four and five Wednesday morning. Police have yet to release details in that incident as either.
