Eight Displaced After Fire Rips Through Four Homes In Pike Creek

The Office of the State Fire Marshal in Delaware has initiated an investigation into a fire that ripped through multiple homes in the Weatherhill Farms development in Pike Creek last night.

The incident, which caused significant damage to four houses, prompted a response from the Mill Creek Fire Company along with several mutual aid fire companies.

Around 8:30 pm, the Mill Creek Fire Company arrived at the scene on the 4700 block of Weatherhill Drive. They were met with an active fire engulfing one home and spreading to two adjacent townhouses.

State fire investigators were dispatched to the scene.  The origin and cause of this fire is under investigation.

The American Red Cross has stepped in and is offering emergency assistance to the eight adults and one child who lost their homes in the fire.
