Police: Arrest Made In Cecil County Double Murder

NORTH EAST, Md. — Cecil County authorities have made an arrest in the double-fatal shooting that took place on Sunday in the 100 block of Bethel Church Road.

Officials said the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a concerned relative who discovered the victims unconscious at approximately 10 a.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies confirmed the deaths of Christopher Blaine Thomas, 45, and Ashley Dove Brown, 34. The victims, who police say were involved in a romantic relationship and resided together at the residence, succumbed to fatal gunshot wounds. The medical examiner’s office conducted autopsies, further confirming the cause of their deaths.

In the wake of this incident, Detectives with the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office pursued leads that ultimately led to a suspect, identified as Jordan Patrick Perry, a 27-year-old, police said Friday. Perry, who police said had a history of prior encounters with law enforcement, had been associated with various addresses in the past. However, investigators believed that he frequented a residence in the 400 block of Hillcrest Drive, Aberdeen, Maryland.

Members of the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, the Aberdeen Police Department, and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office conducted surveillance at the Hillcrest Drive residence. This operation culminated in the preparation and execution of a search warrant, with the valuable assistance of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team.

During the execution of the warrant, law enforcement officers apprehended Perry without incident. Police said items of evidentiary value were seized from the residence, potentially linking Perry to the ongoing investigation.

Perry now faces a litany of charges, including two counts of First Degree Murder, two counts of Second Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault, Home Invasion, and Burglary in the First and Third Degrees. Following a review by a District Court Commissioner, he was ordered to be held without bond due to the seriousness of the charges police said.
