Officials are investigating a crash that sent two to the hospital Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred on N Dupont Highway southbound at Franklin Avenue in Wilmington Manor at around 8:30, resulting in the closure of the southbound lanes.
According to initial reports from the scene, two individuals have been transported to a trauma center following the crash, with one of them in critical condition.
The accident brought a response from Wilmington Manor’s rescue crews, New Castle County Paramedics, and local police. The severity of the incident has led to what is expected to be a lengthy closure of the southbound lanes of N Dupont Highway at the intersection with Bacon Avenue.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes due to the ongoing investigation and necessary clean-up efforts.
