Another Armed Home Invasion By Group Of Men

The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred early yesterday morning in Laurel.

Officials said on April 6, 2024, at approximately 12:32 a.m., troopers responded to a residence on the 6900 block of Sharptown Road in Laurel for a report of a home invasion.

The preliminary investigation revealed approximately five male suspects broke into the home, which was occupied by two teenagers. The suspects ransacked the home and fled with an undisclosed amount of property according to.

No one in the home was injured. The suspects are described as approximately five masked and armed black males.

On March 25, 2024, a similar incident occurred in Dover. In that incident, an unoccupied residence located on the 3200 block of West Denneys Road became the target of an armed group. Officials said the group entered the home stealing valuable property and abducting four French Bulldogs.

Authorities have not publicly connected the two incidents.
