Carjacker Kidnaps Victim, County Waits Almost Two Hours To Notify Public

On Friday at approximately 6:35 p.m., patrol officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the area of Clinton Court and Bristol Way in Bedford Park Townhouses in New Castle for a reported carjacking that just occurred with a firearm.

The reporting person believes seeing the victim being carjacked at gunpoint and believes she was still in the vehicle when the suspect fled the area in the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. There will be heavy police presence in the area.

SUSPECT: black male, in his 20’s, wearing a white shirt, gray track pants, armed with a firearm

Victim: white female, 5’3-5’4, approximately 130 lbs., unknown clothing other than “business casual”

If FSU had access to the radios as was the case in the past we could have put this out hours ago – Hopefully that will change in the future.
