Large Gathering Ends With Man Shot In Bear

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred 100 block of Troubadour Way in Bear.

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 3:36 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to above area for a shooting.

Officers arrived at the scene and located a 42-year-old male who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local area hospital, where he is currently being treated.

FSU is told that a group of around 50 people were gathered in the parking lot of the market when shots rang out. The man was reportedly shot multiple times.

Detectives from the Division’s Major Crimes Unit and Evidence Detection Unit have responded to the scene to assume the investigation.
