65-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Bicycle Crash

New Castle County Police are investigating a crash that injured a man Saturday.

At approximately 11:10 AM, New Castle County Paramedics and the Hockessin Fire Company responded to a report of a bicycle accident on the 100 block of Horseshoe Road in Hockessin. Upon arrival, fire department units discovered a single patient involved in a bicycle accident.

The patient, an approximately 65-year-old male, was treated on the scene by New Castle County Paramedics for a possible head injury and abrasions. Following initial treatment, he was transported in serious condition to Christiana Hospital in Newark aboard a Hockessin Fire Company ambulance.
