Rider Airlifted In Critical Condition After Crash

The New Castle County Police are currently investigating a Saturday afternoon crash involving a motorcycle.

At approximately 1:50 PM, New Castle County Paramedics and the Delaware City Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Suffolk Boulevard and Old Kirkwood Road in response to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, fire department units found the collision between a sedan and a motorcycle. New Castle County Paramedics treated a 30-year-old male motorcyclist for possible internal injuries. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transported in critical condition to Christiana Hospital in Newark via Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4.

The agencies that responded to this incident include New Castle County EMS (Paramedics), Delaware City Fire Company, New Castle County Police, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit.
