Authorities Update Crash That Injured Four Wednesday

Delaware State Police continue to investigate a multi-vehicle collision that sent four individuals to the hospital Wednesday morning in Bear.

According to NCCEMS Assistant Public Information Officer Leslie Antonelli-Hobbs, the incident occurred at approximately 10:43 a.m. at the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Bear Christiana Road. Units from the Christiana Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics were dispatched to the scene for reports of a motor vehicle collision with injuries. Upon arrival, first responders found that two passenger vehicles were involved in the crash.

Three patients were transported by New Castle County Paramedics on board a Christiana Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. The patients included a 23-year-old female in critical condition with head and possible internal injuries. Another female, approximately 23 years old, in was stable but serious condition with possible internal injuries. Aa 20-year-old female also in stable but serious condition with possible internal injuries.

A fourth patient was transported separately by the Christiana Fire Company in stable condition. The exact nature of their injuries has not been disclosed.

The Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Responding agencies included New Castle County Paramedics, Christiana Fire Company, and Delaware State Police.
