Multiple People Injured In Fiery Crash Friday

At approximately 6:51 Friday evening, New Castle County Paramedics, Christiana Fire Company, Delaware City Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 4 responded to a motor vehicle collision on Pulaski Highway near Quintilio Drive. The incident involved several vehicles on fire, with multiple individuals trapped. Responding units confirmed four vehicles were on fire, and several patients required assistance.

Assistant Public Information Officer Oliver Kocher said upon arrival, paramedics encountered several patients. A 63-year-old woman, treated by Delaware City Fire Company EMTs, sustained injuries to her torso and suffered smoke inhalation. She received further care from New Castle County Paramedics before being transported in stable condition to Christiana Hospital by Delaware City Fire Company ambulance.

A 43-year-old man, treated by Christiana Fire Company EMTs, had possible internal injuries. New Castle County Paramedics provided on-scene treatment before he was transported to Christiana Hospital, also in stable condition.

Two additional patients were taken to Christiana Hospital by Christiana Fire Company ambulance. Several others refused treatment or transport. The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the incident.

Responding agencies included New Castle County EMS, Christiana Fire Company, Delaware City Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation.
