Arrest Made In Hardees Drive-Thru Robbery, Duck Tape Was The Key

Delaware State Police have identified 28-year-old Damiean Turner of Cambridge, Maryland, as the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred last week at a Hardee’s restaurant in Laurel.

Police said the robbery occurred on May 12, 2025, at approximately 3:01 p.m., when troopers responded to Hardee’s located at 30759 Sussex Highway in Laurel. According to investigators, a male suspect approached the drive-through window, displayed a firearm at an employee, and demanded cash from the register. The employee complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Following the robbery, authorities released a description of the suspect and the vehicle involved—a dark-colored Honda with Maryland registration 6DA1892 and visible damage to the front driver’s side.

Two days later, on May 14, 2025, the Cambridge Police Department was notified by a citizen who spotted a vehicle matching the suspect description in Dorchester Square. Officers responded and contacted the driver, who was identified as Damiean Turner. Subsequent investigation linked Turner to the Laurel robbery, and he was taken into custody without incident according to police.

Turner is currently in custody in Maryland pending extradition to Delaware, where he faces multiple felony charges. Upon his return to Delaware, Turner will face the following charges:

Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited Due to Prior Violent Crime or Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, and Theft under $1,500.
