Wilmington Police are conducting an investigation into a shooting that occurred late Saturday night in the 1400 block of West 3rd Street.
At approximately 10:33 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area and located a 17-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing. Authorities have not released any additional details at this time.
