The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in Frankford, which left two individuals injured. Authorities said they were called to the scene following reports of a shooting in the area of Honolulu Road and Reed Street.
According to police, the shooting was reported at approximately 2:41 a.m. on September 4, 2025. When troopers arrived in the area, they discovered a 27-year-old man from Frankford and a 38-year-old woman from Selbyville who had both sustained injuries. The victims were treated at the scene and later transported for medical treatment.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the victims were traveling through the area when their vehicle came under fire from unidentified suspects. Multiple gunshots struck the vehicle, leaving both victims injured.
Investigators reported that the female victim’s injuries resulted from glass debris after the gunfire shattered parts of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the male victim suffered both debris-related injuries and a gunshot wound to his hand. Both victims were described as having non-life-threatening injuries.
The victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment for their injuries. Delaware State Police are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward as detectives work to identify the suspects involved.
