Critical Injuries Reported After Shots Ring Out Before Dawn

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that left a 35-year-old man critically injured early Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers responded at approximately 3:19 a.m. to the 600 block of West 31st Street in Wilmington for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was reported to be in critical condition.

The investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
