Two To Trauma Center After Crash Sends Vehicle Off I-495, One Ejected

Delaware State Police are investigating an accident that seriously injured at least two people Wednesday.

Just after 5:30, rescue crews and police were dispatched to the 4800 block of Governor Printz Blvd, in the area of I-495 SB and the Edgmoore Road off-ramp for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that at least one patient was ejected from a vehicle when the vehicle rolled off the highway onto Governor Printz Blvd. That patient and one other patient have been transported to the Trauma Center with serious injuries.

I-495 SB is closed at Naamans Road. All traffic is being pushed onto I-95 SB.
