Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Wednesday night.
Just before 10:45, gunshots rang out in the 700 block of E 10th Street, leaving a young female victim critically injured.
The victim, described as a 30ish-year-old female, was rushed to the trauma center for immediate medical attention, however, her condition has not been released as of yet.
In the aftermath of the shooting, the Wilmington Police Department launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Detectives are asking anyone that witnessed the incident to come forward.
