Dover Man Facing Stalking, Burglary Charges

The Dover Police Department has arrested 29-year-old Austinio Brown of Dover in connection with a series of unauthorized entries into a residence. The arrest occurred Sunday evening following a report of a burglary at an apartment in the 300 block of Tollhouse Place.

At approximately 6:02 p.m. on May 18, 2025, officers responded to the apartment complex after a resident reported that an unknown black male, dressed in blue clothing, had entered their residence without permission. Upon arrival, officers located and arrested Brown without incident. He matched the suspect description provided by the victim police said.

The investigation determined that Brown had entered the victim’s apartment multiple times on Sunday and removed personal property during at least one of those unauthorized entries according to police. Brown had also made several prior attempts to access the same apartment throughout the month of May, but had not succeeded until the day of the arrest added police.

Brown was transported to the Dover Police Department, where he was charged and processed. He was later arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $6,500 secured bail.

He is charged with Burglary Second Degree, Stalking, and Theft under $1,500.
