He Followed Her Across State Lines, What Police Say Happened Next Is Chilling

A 22-year-old New Jersey man is facing criminal charges after police said he followed a woman across state lines and hid inside her vehicle while she sought medical care in Delaware.

Middletown Police Department reported that officers responded on April 23, 2026, to the ChristianaCare Middletown Emergency Department for a report of a suspicious person. Hospital personnel had observed the individual on surveillance footage entering and remaining in the rear seat of a female patient’s vehicle.

Officers identified the suspect as Prince Onukogu. The investigation determined that he allegedly followed the adult female victim, who did not know him, from New Jersey and recorded her at multiple locations without her knowledge.

Police said the suspect continued to follow the victim to the emergency department, where he entered her vehicle and concealed himself inside while she was receiving treatment.

Onukogu was taken into custody at the scene without incident. He was charged with third-degree burglary and stalking, then arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 11. Bail was set at $5,000 cash, and he was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post bail.
