One Struck In Labor Day Drive-By Shooting

The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that left a 23-year-old man injured early Monday morning in Dover.

At approximately 1:20 a.m. on September 7, 2026, troopers responded to Bayhealth Kent Campus after the man arrived with a gunshot wound. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The preliminary investigation found that an unknown suspect inside an unknown vehicle fired shots at a residence in the 200 block of South Governor’s Boulevard in Capitol Park. The 23-year-old was struck by the gunfire and taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
