SALISBURY, MD — A 43-year-old man remains in critical condition after being beaten outside a Salisbury tavern Sunday night.

According to the Salisbury Police Department, officers responded to the sidewalk outside Bury Tavern at 212 W. Main Street at approximately 10:40 p.m. on October 18, 2026, following reports of an assault.

When officers arrived, they found a 43-year-old man unconscious on the ground with injuries consistent with an assault. Salisbury EMS transported the victim to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, where he remained in critical condition as of Thursday.

Investigators determined that the victim had been involved in a verbal altercation with two men on the sidewalk outside the tavern. The confrontation turned violent when one of the suspects allegedly grabbed the victim, threw him to the ground, and kicked him.

Police said the second suspect also kicked the victim while he was lying on the ground. Both men fled before officers arrived.

Detectives subsequently identified the suspects as 36-year-old Tyrelle Moss and 29-year-old Torres Savage, both of Salisbury. Arrest warrants were obtained for both men following the investigation.

On Monday, October 19, at approximately 2 p.m., members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located Moss in the 700 block of West Naylor Mill Road in Salisbury. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Salisbury Police Department before being transferred to the Wicomico County Detention Center.

Moss has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

Savage, who remains wanted, faces the same charges. Police said he had not been located as of Thursday, October 22.

Police are asking anyone with information about the assault or Savage’s whereabouts to contact the Salisbury Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 410-548-3165.
