Wilmington Police Searching For Man In Stabbing Case

Wilmington Police are currently seeking Jamar X. Cain, 35, of Wilmington in connection with a Tuesday morning stabbing investigation.

Police said that around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday officers responded to the area of 26th and N. Tatnall Street for reports of  a stabbing. Arriving officers located a 35 year old female who was suffering from apparent stab wounds to her legs and facial areas, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.

Police said that the investigation into the stabbing indicated that the incident was domestic in nature and occurred inside of a residence in the 2400 block of N. West Street.

Cain is described as being  approximately 5’07, 140 pounds, possibly having braids in his hair. Anyone with information relative to his whereabouts of Cain are asked to call 911, or Detective Joe Miller at 302-576-3639. Police said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and Police are asking you not to approach the suspect if observed.
