Two Arrested In Connection To Alleged Assault

On Saturday May 5, 2018 Milford Police arrested Anthony Penawell, 24, and Tiffany A. Wolfe, 32, both of Milford as part of an assault investigation, according to Sgt. Robert Masten.

Masten said the investigation revealed Penawell allegedly assaulted the victim in a parking lot on North Walnut Street in the downtown area at approximately 8:43 am.

Following the assault the victim responded to the Milford Police Department to report the incident. The victim was later transported by Carlisle Fire Company Ambulance to Bayhealth in Milford to be treated for injuries.

Investigation also revealed a young child witnessed the alleged assault. As a result of this investigation a warrant was obtained for Penawell.

Police made contacted with both Penawell and Wolfe. Later on May 5, 2018. Penawell was taken into custody without incident.

Masten said both, Penawell and Wolfe, reportedly provided a false statement to the investigating officer about the matter.

Wolfe was also taken into custody and a warrant was obtained for her. Penawell has been charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Providing a False Statement to Law Enforcement.

Wolfe has been charged with Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Providing a False Statement to Law Enforcement.

Both were presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $15,000.00 secured for Penawell and $4000.00 unsecured for Wolfe.

Penawell was scheduled for a preliminary hearing at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 05.11.2018 and Wolfe is scheduled to appear for her Preliminary Hearing on 06.01.2018.
