Young Man Gunned Down In Wilmington Thursday Morning

Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. Thursday morning in the area of 4th and Harrison Streets.

Police said they located an 18-year-old  gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Residents tell FSU that they heard a number of shots shortly before police arrived on scene. Residents also reported that the victim was a young African American male.
