Man Carjacked At Dover Sam’s Club By Armed Suspects

The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed carjacking that took place on Tuesday evening at that Sam’s Club located at 1572 North DuPont Highway in Dover.

Officials said the victim, identified as a 26-year-old Magnolia man, recounted the incident to officers. According to his statement, just after 7:00 he was accosted by two black males in the Sam’s Club parking lot. One of the assailants brandished a handgun during the confrontation. The suspects forcibly demanded the victim’s belongings, including the keys to his vehicle.

The victim complied with the armed suspects’ demands, surrendering his car keys to them. Subsequently, one of the assailants made a his getaway behind the wheel of the victim’s vehicle, described as a 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack with Delaware Registration 223742. Simultaneously, the second suspect fled the scene in a white, four-door sedan equipped with tinted windows. A thorough search of the immediate area for both the stolen vehicles and the suspects yielded negative results.

The initial descriptions of the suspects were provided to the authorities. Suspect 1 is described as a skinny black male, approximately 5’6″-5’7″, wearing a black ski mask, dark clothing, with a white scarf with a plaid design armed with a handgun.

Suspect 2 is described as a skinny black male approximately 6’1″ – 6’2″, with no clothing description provided.
