Firefighters Responding To House Fire In Newark, Serious Injuries Reported

Newark – Firefighters from Aetna’s Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along woth mutual aid from across New Castle County are responding to Chestnut Ave in Newark for reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival, crews are report fire showing with a priority patient down in the front yard. Early reports indicate that wires are down in the yard.

Command is reporting hoarding conditions inside the home.

Update: 9:00 All firefighters have been ordered to evacuate the structure.

Update: 9:45 Looks like the fire is under control. Crews remain on scene working.
