Pedestrian Struck In Newark Tuesday Morning

New Castle County Police are investigating a crash that left one injured Tuesday morning.

Just before 8:15 rescue crews from Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder (Aetna HH&L), New Castle County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 were dispatched to the intersection of Janice Drive and Aldershot Drive in Newark for reports of a pedestrian struck.

Shortly after arrival, Aetna HH&L EMTs cleared all other responding units and reported that they were transporting the patient to Christiana Hospital.

This intersection is in directly front of McVey Elementary School.
